A Nelson man died following a motorcycle crash on Saturday afternoon.
The 47 year-old's motorbike was involved in a collision with an oncoming van, at Golden Downs, south of Nelson, at 12.30pm.
The police say the motorcyclist was riding with a group of people.
He died in Nelson Hospital at 8pm as a result of his injuries.
The driver of the van was also hurt and is in a stable condition.
Both men were flown by helicopter to Nelson Hospital.
