Some bus passengers in Auckland may find themselves being incorrectly charged on Sunday because of a technical fault with a new public transport ticket system.

The electronic AT Hop card, can already be used on trains and ferries.
Auckland Transport says the fault, which was found on Friday evening, is an intermittent problem on some buses. Four people have been identified so far as having been overcharged.
Passengers are advised to check their balances and contact Auckland Transport if they think they may have been incorrectly charged.
The agency is working to fix the problem this weekend.
