The Canterbury Earthquake Recovery Authority is calling for expressions of interest from experienced developers wanting to participate in building Christchurch's new bus interchange project.

CERA says the bus interchange is one of the anchor projects in the Christchurch Central Recovery Plan and will be sited in the block bounded by Sol Square and Tuam, Colombo and Lichfield Streets.

The interchange facility is expected to be operational by April 2015 and the development of the wider precinct will include up to 50,000 square metres of space that may be used for hotel and residential accommodation, retail and commercial activity, leisure and entertainment, and food and beverage facilities.
