Just three vehicles have taken part in a controversial car rally that duplicates the route police allege Mark Lundy took the night his wife and daughter were killed in 2000.
Mr Lundy was convicted of the murders, but the convictions were quashed by the Privy Council this year.
He is to stand retrial in June next year.
Saturday's rally began at Karamea Crescent in Palmerston North, and teams drove the 300km return trip between the Lundy family home and the Petone foreshore.
The police said they were not aware of any problems with the race.
