No leads in search for autistic man

Police are discussing their next step in a search for a missing autistic man from Lower Hutt.

Lesley Kreibel, 55, has been missing from his home at Naenae for over a week.

The IHC Idea Services, which cares for him, says he is prone to hiding when he is frightened and could be anywhere in the wider Wellington area.

A spokesperson said Mr Kreibel has no ID, food, water or money.

Police say they have no clues to his whereabouts, and are evaluating what to do next.

Anyone who notices anything unusual such as clothes missing off the line or rubbish bins having been gone through, is asked to get in touch with them.

Mr Kreibel is of medium height and build, with greying hair; dark, thick eyebrows; and a light olive complexion.
