NCEA and Scholarship exams end on Tuesday with the final four exams due to be held at 9.30am.
The Qualifications Authority says more than 143,000 students sat 120 exams during the four week exam period.
It says the biggest problem during the exams was a power cut that forced up to 30 schools to shift students from one room to another in the middle of their exams.
NZQA says just over half the exam papers have already been marked and they will all be completed by Christmas.
NCEA results will be available online in mid-January and scholarship results in February.
