The outgoing chief executive of Christchurch International Airport has been appointed to lead the organisation that oversees Christchurch City Council's maintenance services.
Jim Boult was named as the new chairperson of City Care Ltd on Wednesday.
City Care says Mr Boult will replace Tony King who was appointed to the board in 2003 and has been chairperson since 2008.
In July Mr King announced he had accepted a permanent role as chief operating officer with Solid Energy.
Mr Boult completes his contract as chief executive of Christchurch International Airport at the end of the year.
This year's annual report showed that City Care provided a dividend of $6.2m to Christchurch City Holdings, the city council company that oversees it.
City Care employs 1650 people.
