Last week, the Ministry of Education became involved in the year-long dispute at Columba College, pushing for an urgent resolution.

The Post Primary Teachers' Association describes the school workplace as toxic and says it may need outside intervention.

The ministry says Columba College's board of trustees and the PPTA have agreed to external mediation.

It says it will meet with the school and union after the mediation is complete to discuss the outcome and what steps need to be taken next.
