A second round of tenders is underway for people wanting to set up charter shools in 2015.
Tender documents have been released by the Partnership Schools/Kura Hourua Authorisation Board.
The board's chair, Catherine Isaac says it anticipates a high level of interest and will provide briefings in Janaury to help those wanting to lodge proposals. She said there will also be a more streamlined application process.
Information about the briefing sessions, which will be held in late January in Auckland and Wellington, will be available on the Ministry of Education website from early January. Applications close on 11 March next year.
