A girl has been flown to Wairau hospital in Blenheim with head injuries after a quad bike accident in the Marlborough Sounds on Sunday afternoon.
A Life Flight Helicopter and Wellington paramedic were called out, after the girl fell off the back of the vehicle.
A crew member, Logan Taylor, says the girl aged about 10 or 11 wasn't wearing a helmet.
But he says her head injuries are believed to be minor.
