People still living in damaged houses

A recent door to door survey around quake areas in Christchurch found about 900 households are still living in damaged homes and many people still have poor health and are under stress.

Three years after the quakes, members of the CanCern group found people are still living with plastic on the walls, no ceilings, rising damp and holes in the floors and walls.

Spokesperson Brian Parker said the organisation is determined to help such people before winter.
