Police say the death of a man whose body was found on a popular walking track in Coromandel is not thought to be suspicious.
The body has been removed from a popular track at Broken Hills near Tairua, where it was found by a group of trampers about midday on Wednesday.
Police say the man was in his 40s and the body may have been there for 24 hours. Inspector Lou Alofa said it is not yet clear how he died and they are waiting for the results of a post-mortem.
The walking track at Broken Hills has reopened.
