A motorcyclist who died when he collided with an oncoming vehicle in Waikato on Saturday night was returning with a group from a tour of the South Island.
Police have named the victim as 24-year-old Chinese man Shixun Jiang, who had been living in Auckland.
They say an investigation is continuing but it appears Mr Jiang was following fellow motorcyclists overtaking a car in Taupiri when he collided with an oncoming four-wheel drive.
