The body of a man who who went missing in the Ruamahanga River in Wairarapa has been recovered on Tuesday.
Jesse Barber, 19, became separated from a group of friends while swimming in the river, north of Masterton, on Monday about 5pm.
A police spokesperson said the 19-year-old got into difficulty in a deep turbulent pool.
