Armed robbers held up a security van in Whangarei on Tuesday afternoon.
Police are looking for two men after one pointed a gun at the van's guards outside a building in Bank Street.
He managed to take money from the guards and made off in a car driven by the other man.
The car, a black 1999 Subaru Forrester, was found about an hour later in the suburb of Raumanga.
