A five-year-old girl has been flown to hospital with serious injuries after a crash near Russell in Northland.
The crash, involving two cars, happened about 1.30pm on Wednesday on Whakapara Road towards Rawhiti. Police believe one of the vehicles crossed the centre line.
A man in his 30s in the same car as the girl has also been taken to hospital. A six-year-old in the car was not hurt.
A man in his 50s from the other car was injured and has been taken to hospital.
