Three adults have been arrested for giving alcohol to a nine-year-old boy found drunk at a skate park in Hamilton.
Police investigated the case after footage was posted on YouTube last week showing the boy swaying and struggling to walk while holding a can of pre-mixed bourbon and cola.
Two men aged 20 and 27, and 25-year-old woman have each been charged with supplying alcohol to a minor under the Sale and Supply of Liquor Act. If convicted, they could be fined up to $2000.
All will appear in the Hamilton District Court on 28 January.
A police spokesperson says the boy's mother is not one of those charged.
Police and Child, Youth and Family are providing support to the boy and his family.
