Police are yet to decide whether anyone will face charges after a two-year-old girl was knocked over in the driveway of her South Auckland home.
The toddler had been playing in the back garden with her siblings when she was struck by the Holden Sedan about 10am on Monday.
A neighbour alerted the emergency services after hearing screams.
Sergeant Kylie Newton says the family are helping police with the investigation into what happened and who was driving the car.
The girl is now in a stable condition in the critical care unit of Middlemore Hospital and is conscious.
