A retired accountant has filed further paperwork in his bid to privately prosecute Auckland mayor Len Brown.

Graham McCready is accusing the mayor of corruption because he accepted free hotel rooms and upgrades from SkyCity that he failed to declare.

Mr McCready says that led to Mr Brown supporting the company's bid to build a convention centre in Auckland.

He says the evidence filed in court on Wednesday includes the independent Ernst and Young report that uncovered the free rooms and upgrades accepted by Mr Brown.

Mr McCready says he doesn't have any statements or other evidence from SkyCity to show that the mayor changed his mind because of the gifts.

He says he hopes the hearing to decide if he can proceed with the case will go ahead early next month.
