A man who masqueraded as a doctor in order to check out theft and burglary opportunities at Wellington Hospital has pleaded guilty to 11 burglary and fraud charges.

Pita Edwards, who appeared in the Wellington District Court on Friday, also pleaded guilty to one charge of breaching prison release conditions.

A police summary of facts shows that he entered several premises in the capital in November last year and made off with more than $20,000 worth of property.
