Auckland to Dunedin flight changes

6:04 pm on 5 February 2014

Air New Zealand is being accused of making life harder and more expensive for Dunedin businesspeople by cancelling the last of the three daily services between Auckland and Dunedin.

The airline at present runs three direct services between the two cities each day, but from March there will be two using larger planes.

BedPost owner Alan Preston says the axing of the evening flight means day trips to Auckland will become difficult and he may have to stay an extra night.

The Otago Chamber of Commerce says it has had complaints from people who have tried to book an evening flight for March and found they are not available.
