Police have arrested a 62-year-old man following an investigation into a historic complaint of indecent assault in Dunedin.
Detective Senior Sergeant John Ferguson said on Wednesday the man from Dunedin is charged with one count of indecent assault. The investigation has taken several months to complete.
The arrest comes after Otago Boys' High School confirmed on Tuesday that police were investigating a former teacher in relation to a complaint of indecent assault.
The man has been bailed to appear at the Dunedin District Court on 18 February.
