Several shots were fired at a house in the Wellington suburb of Strathmore on Thursday night, in what appears to have been an isolated incident.
Detective Sergeant Peter Middlemiss said up to five shots were reportedly fired into a window at the Raukawa Street address about 11pm, but it appears no-one was injured.
Police were speaking to neighbours about whether the house may have been targeted, but the shooting appeared to be an isolated incident.
