The latest big lotto prizewinner says it was fun to read about the search for the lucky person, while he kept the $26 million ticket in his back pocket.

The Auckland man's revealed himself as the latest multi-millionaire, claiming the sixth biggest individual prize won in the history of Lotto four days after the draw.

The man says he waited a few days, as he wanted to let it sink in and spend some time thinking about what to do with the money.

He says he's in no hurry to do anything silly with it.

The man says he plans to spend some on family, and then escape the New Zealand winter with a holiday.
