Police believe a body found in the Lower Hutt suburb of Naenae is that of Lesley Kreibel, who was reported missing in November.
The 55-year-old's body was found in bush behind Wilcox Grove .
Police say Mr Kreibel's family has been informed but a formal identification has yet to be completed.
A post mortem will be carried out on Monday.
