The irport says carpet cleaning last night left a strong smell and some of the area behind the security points was closed.
A Customs spokesperson says two Customs workers were sent to hospital after the fumes made them feel nauseous.
All other Customs personnel were checked by medical staff and have since returned to work.
Four international flights were delayed but the airport says services have now resumed.
