Public health officers are tracing passengers on a flight from Brisbane to Auckland after two young men on the flight were diagnosed with measles.
An Auckland medical officer of health, Richard Hoskins, said the men were travelling on NZ136 on 23 February.
Dr Hoskins said they were both infectious and may have passed on the virus to other passengers. People who were sitting closest to them are at greatest risk, and would be contacted by their local public health services.
But Dr Hoskins says all passengers should keep an eye out for symptoms which include a high fever, cough, runny nose, red eyes and a rash that starts on the face and neck before spreading elsewhere.
There have been 58 confirmed measles cases in Auckland so far this year.
