An overseas tourist has been pulled unconscious from Lake Taupo in the central North Island.
A mayday call was made from the boat the man was on with a small group of friends at Whakamoenga Point at Acacia Bay about 2.30pm on Tuesday.
He was given first aid as soon as the boat came to shore, and taken to Taupo Hospital in a serious condition.
Police are investigating but not releasing any more details.
