Emergency services are at the scene of a serious crash on the Beaumont highway, north-west of Lawrence, in Otago.
A police spokesperson says a car and van collided head-on and occupants in both vehicles have been seriously injured on Friday.
A detour is in place, but motorists are warned to expect delays.
