Recommendations for changes to information shown on electricity bills will be made to the Electricity Authority within the next six weeks.
The authority's retail advisory group has been reviewing the information on the bills since April last year and is considering whether lines charges should be shown separately on statements.
Authority chief executive Carl Hansen said many retailers already showed lines charges separately.
The review would determine whether it should be made compulsory for such charges to be shown more clearly, he said.
