A body found near the Waikato River in Hamilton on Sunday has been confirmed to be that of a missing elderly man.
Trevor Smith, 70, went missing in the city three weeks ago.
His body was found in bushes on the banks of the river in the suburb of Riverlea.
Mr Smith was diabetic and suffered from mild dementia.
