A woman has been injured by a train in west Auckland.
The fire service said the woman was hit close to the Henderson train station at 3.45pm.
The woman, who is in her early 30s, is in a serious condition in Auckland Hospital.
Auckland Transport's group manager of public transport, Mark Lambert, says the woman was on the rail tracks, and the police are investigating how she got there.
Mr Lambert says buses replaced some trains, but services are returning to normal on the western line.
