Crew illness affects ferry sailings

5:50 pm on 1 May 2014

Four Cook Strait ferry crossings have been cancelled due to illness among Interislander crew.

Two crossings on the Stena Alegra on Thursday morning and another two on Friday were cancelled because there weren't enough healthy staff to work.

Affected passengers and freight have been moved to other services.

The Interislander's general manager, Thomas Davis said sailings on the Stena Alegra should return to normal on Saturday.
