An American tourist whose campervan was involved in a fatal crash near Coromandel has admitted a charge of careless driving causing death.
The crash occurred near Whitianga on Friday.
Police say Cody James Dickey crossed the centre line and crashed into an oncoming ute, killing a 52-year-old woman and seriously injuring another person.
Mr Dickey, 23, has also pleaded guilty to a charge of careless driving causing injury.
The case was resuming in Hamilton District Court on Thursday afternoon.
