A 53-year-old New Zealand woman has been refused bail after being caught at Sydney airport allegedly carrying five kilograms of methamphetamine, also known as ice.
Customs officers say they found white crystals hidden inside industrial equipment in eight boxes in her suitcase after she arrived on a flight from India on Sunday.
The substance tested positive for methamphetamine, and the police are testing it to check its weight and purity.
The ABC reports the woman has been charged with importing a commercial quantity of a drug.
