Police have laid more charges against a Far North man accused of sexual offences against children.
The man, who is in custody, appeared in the Kaikohe District Court on Tuesday on 17 new charges, including one of sexual violation by rape.
Police say he sexually assaulted five girls aged between 12 and 16 when he was living in a Far North community.
The judge ordered that the man's name be suppressed.
