A 19-year-old tourist from Sydney, who fell from a Queenstown hotel balcony early on Thursday morning, has died. Police say the man fell about 10 metres on to a concrete carpark.
A 19-year-old tourist from Sydney, who fell from a Queenstown hotel balcony early on Thursday morning, has died.
Police say the man, from Paddington, fell about 10 metres onto a concrete carpark.
They say he was staying at the hotel with four male friends and had been drinking alcohol.
He was flown to Dunedin Hospital by helicopter.
A Dunedin Hospital spokesperson said the young man died about midnight on Saturday.
Members of his family were with him.
