A man will appear in court in Dunedin next week as a result of an armed incident in the city early on Saturday morning.
Police say they were responding to a reported domestic dispute and found the man had barricaded himself into his house.
The Armed Offenders Squad was called out and the man, 43, gave himself up after speaking to officers. Some weapons were seized.
Police say the man's partner had been at the house but left before they arrived. No one was hurt.
