A man has been charged with stealing building supplies - such as taps, whiteware and tools - from construction sites and homes in Auckland.
Police in Counties Manukau say they have recovered thousands of dollars worth of building supplies mostly from the East Auckland area.
They say the 32-year-old man has appeared in the Manukau District Court charged with at least six burglaries. At least 14 other burglaries have since been identified and further charges could be laid.
Officers are trying to identify the owners of the recovered property, which includes spray painting equipment, heat pumps and lawnmowers.
