A man arrested over the death of his partner in Switzerland more than a decade ago has made a brief appearance in an Auckland court.
Judge Brooke Gibson continued the suppression order which stops Radio New Zealand from naming the accused.
The man's lawyer, Jim Boyack, said his client's business situation was delicate and he had young children in a New Zealand school.
He said a week ago his client was regarded as a law abiding citizen.
Judge Gibson remanded the man in custody for three weeks when the suppression order will be revisited.
