A woman whose body was found in a stream near a popular walkway in central Tauranga has been identified.
The 85-year old's body was found next to the Daisy Hardwick walkway just after 6pm on Monday morning.
Detective Senior Sergeant Greg Turner said police had identified the woman, who was out for her morning walk, and her death was not suspicious.
He said her name would be released once her family has been informed of her death.
