11:17 pm on 12 September 2014

Fourteen guns have been stolen from a Southland farm.

Police say the farmhouse, near the town of Mataura, was burgled overnight while no-one was home.

As well as the guns and ammunition, a large amount of frozen meat, tools, chainsaws and scuba diving gear was stolen

Police say the offenders also took a car - a red 2003 Holden Commodore with registration BQQ-793 - from the farm, and they want anyone with information to contact them or the Crimestoppers line.
