A 53-year-old Whangarei man has been arrested in relation to a bomb threat made to the National ACC call centre in Wellington earlier today.
A police spokesperson said the threatening phone call came in about 11am and, as a precaution, the building and a handful near it were evacuated for a brief period.
The 53-year-old man was arrested this afternoon and is due to appear in the Whangarei District Court tomorrow.
