Police have named a 19-year-old man who died in Christchurch Hospital this morning, following a crash in North Canterbury yesterday.
He was Aaron Thomson-Clark, from Leithfield.
The man, also known as Aaron James, was flown to Christchurch Hospital in a serious condition after a three-car crash outside a petrol station on State Highway 1 at Waikuku, near Rangiora.
Police said Mr Thomson-Clark was in the front passenger seat of a car involved in the accident and an investigation is under way.
The death has been referred to the coroner and the family are requesting privacy.
