Police in Christchurch are investigating the death of a three-and-a-half-month-old boy.
The baby was was flown to Christchurch Hospital by helicopter in a critical condition on 30 August and was taken off life support just after 3am the following day.
A spokesperson said police have launched a criminal investigation into the matter and have spoken with a number of people in the Selwyn district in relation to this incident.
