Army personnel had to be evacuated from a burning barracks at Burnham Military Camp near Christchurch early this morning.
The Fire Service said it was called to the blaze at 5.30am.
A spokesperson said everyone in the building had been evacuated when fire engines arrived.
The fire is now under control.
