Police in Auckland are searching for two men who robbed a bar in St Heliers Bay last night.
Police say the two men, one armed with a black pistol, forced their way into the bar about 11pm, an hour after it closed.
The men made the forced entry when a staff member opened the door to put out the rubbish.
They left on foot with cash, and the staff member was not injured.
Police say the men were wearing balaclavas and dark clothing.
Police are continuing to search for a man who robbed a Lower Hutt dairy at knife-point yesterday afternoon and say the incident "could have easily escalated".
