A hunter lost in the Kaimanawa Ranges in the central North Island has been found uninjured.
Helicopter searches were used to find the 61-year-old who was reported missing early on Saturday morning, after failing to return to his hut following a short morning hunt.
A spokesperson for Taupo's Greenlea Rescue Helicopter said the man was found mid-afternoon yesterday.
They said the man had become lost and had done the right thing by staying where he was.
