Police in Christchurch have charged a 17-year-old after the car she was driving was involved in a crash with an ambulance near Oxford last month.
The teenager would appear in Christchurch District Court later this month charged with dangerous driving and driving with excess blood alcohol.
Police said while ambulance staff were uninjured, the $150,0000 ambulance had been assessed as a write-off.
The girl was reported to have been driving unsupervised on a learner licence at the time of the crash near the intersection of Oxford and Merton roads.
