A motorcyclist is dead after his Harley Davidson collided with a 10-tonne truck near Tauranga last night.
The crash happened on SH2 at Whakamarama just after 8pm.
Emergency services were unable to save the 34-year-old man, who died at the scene.
The truck driver was uninjured.
Police have asked anyone who saw the Nissan truck or the motorcycle in the vicinity of SH2 and Gill Lane to contact the Tauranga Police Station.
